2.21.26 Winter Storm Briefing – AM
SUMMARY
A significant winter storm is forecast to impact all of eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey,
Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland Sunday through Monday with potential for major
impacts.

● Widespread heavy snowfall is forecast. Blizzard conditions are forecast along Atlantic coastal
New Jersey and Delaware. Blowing and drifting snow is likely for many areas. Significant
disruptions to travel and infrastructure are possible.

● Precipitation will likely begin as a period of light rain for most areas, before changing over to
snow into the late morning and afternoon hours from north to south. For areas north of I-78,
precipitation will likely remain all snow.

● Strong winds and coastal flooding are also forecast for the Atlantic coast. A Coastal Flood
Watch remains in effect for the Atlantic coast, where widespread Moderate to potentially Major
coastal flooding is possible.
