Scheduling UCC Inspections
The Uniform Construction Code (UCC) requires that all inspections, with the exception of MINOR WORK, be requested IN WRITING.
Inspections for a UCC Construction Permit can be scheduled on the Highlands Construction Portal. ALL WORK MUST BE COMPLETE AND READY FOR INSPECTION AT THE TIME THE REQUEST IS MADE.
UCC Inspection Schedule
UCC inspections are conducted within the timeframes posted below, unless other special arrangements are made with a Subcode Official. If conditions are such that a specific time frame is needed, please contact the appropriate Subcode Official and accommodations will be made to the extent possible.
In accordance with N.J.A.C. 5:23-2.18(c), the owner or other responsible person in charge of work shall notify the enforcing agency, IN WRITING, WHEN THE WORK IS READY, at least 24 hours prior to the time the inspection is desired. All inspections will be performed within three (3) business days of the time for which it was requested.
