The Borough of Highlands advises residents that construction activities for the Snug Harbor Playground Court Improvements Project are scheduled to proceed as follows:
- Wednesday, November 4: Demolition and preparation of site access.
- Thursday, November 5: No work anticipated, unless additional time is required to complete demolition activities.
- Friday, November 6: Milling and rough grading.
- Monday, November 9: Final grading and installation/adjustment of associated hardware.
- Tuesday, November 10 or Wednesday, November 11: Paving, weather and field conditions permitting.
- Fence Restoration
Following paving, the new asphalt surface will be allowed to cure for approximately 30 days, after which temporary court markings will be installed. The project will be completed in Spring 2027 with installation of the acrylic color court surfacing and permanent game markings for tennis, pickleball, and basketball. Residents are asked to use caution around the work area and avoid entering active construction areas. The Borough appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation while these improvements are completed.
